Stefania Fernandez from Venezuela won the Miss Universe 2009 title competing with contestants from over 80 countries. Stefania Fernandez is an 18 years old. In a two-hour event with three different rounds including personality interview, she has been declare the winner and crowned by the Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza. Ada Aimee De La Cruz, Miss Domincan Republic stood as the first runner up followed by Gona Dragusha, Miss Kosovo as the second.
