Kai Po Che! released on last Friday witnessed a good response from the audience. Kai Po Che, which means “I have cut the kite†in Gujarati is a Bollywood film based on the Chetan Bhagat’s “The 3 mistakes of My Life.† It is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Cine people seems to be more interested in making Chetan’s popular books into movies. “3 Idiots” based on one of his novels was a huge success.
“The story revolves around three friends who want to start some business. Where one friend is an Ex district player who was a victim of politics in the cricketing space, the other one is the nephew of a hindu politician who funds their business and third one is a nerd who is the mastermind behind starting a sports shop and also a sports academy. The story deepens into the earthquake and Gujarat riots and how that affects their life.â€
It’s a simply awesome movie. It has been running successfully and had collected Rs.4.5 crores on the opening day itself.
